CON/SPAN structures are made of precast concrete elements and mostly used for buried bridge systems. They are known for their optimized arch shape that provides the ideal blend of the concrete usage and structural capacity. The structures are easily assembled on the spot and can be customized for a wide scope of applications.
The structures have set-in-place construction requiring no formwork or scaffolding. Around 10-15 elements (12 meters) can be assembled every day. A bridge of 20-25 meters including aligning system can be finished in 2-4 weeks instead of 2-4 months for the cast-on-site bridges.
The combination of the cross section and the box shape ensures structural efficiency. The box-arch geometry is much better for the water flow and clearance box.
Besides the basic bridge elements, optional additions are available, such as precast footings, headwalls or wingwalls.

The quick installation process eliminates the need to close the roads. It results in fewer accidents and minimal negative impact on the traffic flow and on the environment.
The material used for backfilling is natural, so you can use e.g., gravel from the site and do not need to transport anything. Besides, a clear span and three-sided structures use the stream’s natural bedrock as their foundation, allowing the fish to move upstream freely.

They are stronger and wider than SuperCor®, Hamco MP200plus®. As opposed to CON/SPAN, they are made of steel and not concrete so they are more ecological and 30-40% more cost-efficient. And unlike Acrow® 700XS®, they are applicable for buried solutions but take a bit longer to install.
